Housemate woes

 [FEMALE HOUSEMATE WANTED]

Big room with attached toilet, balcony, carpark, furnished house & cool landlady who loves cooking. Double storey house in Taman Kosas, Ampang. Good neighbourhood. Sharing up to 2 persons only. Long term tenant preferred.

* * * * *

I have been living with other girls since I was 12. Living in dormitories in normal government to the dormitories of privileged, premier school. Then, for another 5 years in hostel of a private university.

When I start my life in Kuala Lumpur, I live with at least 5 girls in a small flat in a crowded area.

Based on my experience, I can confidently say that I know how to live with a lot of other people around me and how to be a cooperative housemates/dormates/roomates...etc...

I never received any complained from the girls... nothing about my hygiene or my attitude.

Now, I lived in a double-storey house with a housemate. After years of living with a lot of people in a  dormitories and rented flats.. I so much wanted peace and solitude in this place I called home.

... and the girl I am living with totally gave me that peace.

Guess, I got what I asked for.

A girl that choose to just live in her room and never care about hygiene. Not even when maggots crawled all over the kitchen floor and the stink evaporated to every nook and cranny of the house -_-"

For this next housemate, I wish for a girl who knows how to sensibly share cleaning and security responsibility in the house... and yes, maid service is not included in the package.

I love my house and I hope to get somebody who will love it as much as I do.

Readers of this blog, please spread this advertisement.

P/s: Have you watched Lagenda Budak Setan? I am such an avid movie-goer nowadays that I saw at least 2 movies per week. My favourite to date: Prince or Persia. My tips? It is just a story... I love the game... the movie is beautiful... don't be too critical to how real the storyline is... and you will be a happier bunny out of GSC  :D

Letters to Juliet

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 Posted by Dils 4 comments

What is it about:
An American girl(Sophie) on vacation in Italy finds an unanswered "letter to Juliet" -- one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover's Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by a the "secretaries of Juliet" -- and she goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter.

I took that from IMDB.com and the photo from : http://www.allmoviephoto.com/photo/2010_letters_to_juliet_001_big.html

Review in points because I am lazy to type in a flowing, easy to understand manners.

* A very sweet romantic comedy. Its more sweet than funny though. Not chic lit-ty enough though this maybe a good thing here in this movie.

* Amanday Seyfried is cute and have big boobs. Her acting needs polishing, though she is getting there. I absolutely adore her.

* Christopher Egan is ridiculously Aryan looking. His character is most effective and charming when he is in his most snarky self.

* At the start it kinda meander a bit and I was just wondering if I had made a mistake paying for a movie ticket. Then the delightful point in the movie happened just in time when Vanessa Redgrave came into the screen. She is like a breath of fresh air. Even at 73.

* The scenery shown here is absolutely breathtaking. I feel like going there and never coming back.

* Spoiler alert: I quite like that they show there is no real villain in Sophie failed relationship with her fiance.

* Sophie backstory (family background) would explained itself why she stay in the relationship. So where at first I was annoyed on how accepting she is on how her fiance treated her, I realized the reason afterwards though I did think she could have portrayed herself differently in that earlier scenes. Ah well.

* A nice lovely movie to watch if you get tired of seeing big action adventure, violence or depressing ending.

* Yes, it would be no surprise to anybody that everyone got a happy ending, because a sad ending to the elderly couple is just too heartless after time had teared them apart for 50 years. And it's just silly to not just put the 2 younger couple together after all the effort in putting the elderly couple together, right.

* The Taylor Swift song "Love Story" should not have surprised me, though it is in place here with all its Romeo and Juliet reference rather than her songs in Valentine Day.

In summary: I came for Seyfried cuteness but was won over by Vanessa Redgrave subtle charm. Damn. Now I want to watch Camelot.

Passing thought: Though I did think it is a weird concept for me to think someone writing their woes and asked somebody else the solution? Like I was always perplexed, reading all these Aunt Agony advice columns. I always thought, they themselves know the answers but are just afraid of the solutions. And why would you want an advice from Juliet, a famed doomed lover and decidedly an awful decision maker.

Be A Man: Flirting - The Right Way

I know, I know. I owe you guys three (maybe four) posts - sorry for the long lost. Usual reason, been overloaded with work (and nothing much happening for the last month). Anyway...

My girl has been disturbed by some childish kid with super-annoying-flirting-techniques that can make even Aphrodite laughing her lungs out (wait, does goddess of love have lungs?). Calls on midnights, fancy SMS with annoying shortform (you know how kids nowadays texting). See her rants here.

One word - pathetic. I am ashamed to have brethren in same gender but with an IQ of a monkey. Come closer guys, let me tell you the right way to flirt. Don't embarrassed me.

Tip #1: Check The Status.

The first rule of a real chivalrous man that we should adhere to - go for single woman. DO NOT GO FOR WOMAN WHO ALREADY HAVE A MAN.

If you do go for woman who already married or in a relationship,  it's either one out of these two indications:
  1. You will be severely injured by her man.
  2. You will only get a bitch, because only bitches entertain other man when he have a steady one. And you might still be severely injured.

The way to know her status? Ask. Don't be a chicken. Check Tip #2.

Enough said.

Tip #2: Be A Man.

Annoying shortform when texting doesn't work. Unless you're going to woo some primary school girls (which gives you a label of peadophiles - or a paedobear), short form that's hard to read is a big turn-off. Examples:
"sory wk gngu mlm2, sy xad niat pape myb nk kwn je, 2pon law owg kt sna sudi nk kwn ngn owg kt sni"
I mean, really, what the fuck?

If you want to call or text a girl, make sure you do it at a proper time. Calling while she's sleeping might get you a bitch-slap. That's not a manly thing to get. Or worst - a silent treatment.

If she doesn't want to be disturbed, then by all means retreat. Be a man. Enough said.

Also, to connect with women, show them that you appreciated their opinion, but at the same time, show them that you have your own opinion. Be a man and do not agree with all she's saying. Don't be a "yes" man. But, don't use harsh words or offend her.

Afraid of offending her? Use this kind of sentences..

"Cool opinion. I agree to some extend, but - no offense, I think that ".

Having said that, you know that you need stuffs to talk about. The normal "dah makan? tgh buat apa?" kind of thing is really meh. Talk about something. Football, games, manly things are also okay, but then asked their opinion about it. You cannot talk things about you really subtle.

No ideas? Here's one.

The World Cup is coming. Ask her how her family reacts to it. Ask her what's her favourite team, who's her favourite player, and why. Ask her if her brother, or father, will be fixed  in front of the TV's the whole night.

Simple.

Ask my girl what did I do to woo her. I was talking about games, books, the memes (like paedo bear, NOMNOMNOM? She doesn't know about that before she met me). It works as long as you have passion in something.

Tip #3: Create a Void.

So you have followed tip #1 and tip #2, eh?

The girl is single, and you get to connect with her by being a real man. You get along, she's replying your text, talking to you..

What's next?

Create a void. That's the most effective things to be done. It caught the girl's attention. Woman loves attentions and being pampered. So you've given that. You fill her time with your attentions. You chatted with her. You laugh with her. You listen to her.

Now stop doing that. Stop texting her for three days or so. Break the routines.

She will then missed you. Missed all the attention. Then she will start looking for you.

That's a win. If you have done such a significant efforts of wooing her, she will be looking for you. Guaranteed. If not, that just means you haven't put enough effort to create such a routine into her. Or she's just not into you.. (which then, refer Tips #2).

That's about it. Flirting is an art of itself to find the true love, so - make Aphrodite smiles. Go boy! :D

P/s: It's been a while since I've been a Love Guru - and it shows. How rusty. the skills have been.. LOL

Double Delights - Diabetic Attack!

Saturday, May 29, 2010 Posted by dueng 1 comments
Double posting from me this week. My apologies I couldn't make it last week. I was hospitalized due to high sugar blood level. My sugar blood level was 26.9 from normal at 5-9 for adult. The issue starts genetically cause my mom having diabetes since 1990. It's in the gene and with my obesity and chaotic meal schedule, the inevitable just ticking like time bomb. I was hospitalized for a week and recovering now resting at home.

My diet was ok from sugar POV but not from carb POV. I always work late hence dinner always late at night. I'm might not taking much carb for dinner but continuously, it contributes to the diabetic domino. The advice from my attending physician was to reduce my weight and it will greatly affect my diabetes issue. My obesity was the triggering point of the diabetic attack thus if I could get control of it, I should do just fine considering I'm still at young age and not addicted to soda/coke. And no more carb late at night for me.

It was a hellish experience though it was a tad bit fun having so much time for myself. I must confess, this is the first time I'm hospitalized hence everything was exciting for me. Haha.

My advice is check your family health background and identify your probable inherited disease cause it might get to you earlier than you thought. :D

Double Delights - Perihal Bola

World Cup 2010 is around the corner. Yes, I bet all the employer and wives in Malaysia having headache what will be coming next 5 weeks. I watched Nasi Lemak Kopi O at TV 9 this morning, the hosts discussing on World Cup 2010 effects on husband-wife relationship. As usual, the most coined argument is how wives need to deal with their husband obsession towards football for 5 weeks. The hosts went on and on discussing wives disturbed by this phenomenon.

Well, I couldn't agree how woman make World Cup such a big deal. It's like what the fuck.

If male could take it how "fast" female get dress, how "short" a window shopping could be every single day..can't female just gulp it down for 5 weeks every 4 years that male obsess with football? I know that not all men really have time to watch football and EPL when they get married or rather they just let it go hence I couldn't find the faulty in be less critical during next 5 weeks for men enjoying themselves with football.

I'm pretty pissed really when woman make it such a big issue of World Cup. Flame on! :D
