Sumbat, Sorok, Selit... Sampai Sendat

I am sorry for the lack of updates. It has been two straight Thursday without any blog post now.

I should not make any excuse as I am the one who said that we can write a consistent post once a week, but as my job grows more demanding as days goes by... I succumb to the pressure. Only Dils is the consistent blogger here, so I know if we got that advertisement cheque, she deserved to get the biggest slice of pie. Heheh...

* * * * *

Ranting ahead, my office now is undergoing audit for 5S implementation. I understand that the origin of this practice are for the factory and warehouse to keep their files and tools in order. Its objective to get everything indexed, labeled and filed are good, but when they want to implement 5S in an office, it surely a hassle.

Sometimes, they do not even understand our nature of job before criticizing our lacked of  "5S" attitude. I am working in a fast-paced department where letters, contracts, fax documents, catalogues, proposals are our bread and butter. How can we function without them? *sigh*

Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu and Shitsuke
NOT
Sumbat, Sorok, Selit... Sampai Sendat

Do you expect us to change the file label and numbering daily? The effort and time taken to print and cut the label for these numerous files should be used to generate more profit for the company. Besides,  as we on the business lines are the one who provide the revenue to sustain the expenses for the support services (to pay the 5S auditor), you should be able to cut us some slack :P

This is my workstation

Do you actually believe that someone can actually work in a workstation that neat? No paper and pen out of place and not even any files in sight... It is too neat for me, maybe not for you though. Heheh...

But, I rebelled by not removing all the personal items and souvenirs from display. We shall keep our hypocrisy at a safe level, right?

... and yes, I love my flowers on top of the CPU. If you say that I will be more depressed with a serabut* workstation, you haven't see my car or my room yet... and I think the 5S auditor will run for their life if they were to inspect my wardrobe :P

*they still call this serabut and it will make me murung -_-"

Things that only happened in TV land

Tuesday, July 27, 2010 Posted by Dils 1 comments
The list of things that infuriates or amused me when I watch TVs.

I may had make similar list in my own blog and made somewhat similar list regarding chic lits and flicks, but I am broadening the horizon a bit for only TVs. Because I am such a couch potato, I can't help but noticed this.

The mothers in the show  (the one that is in their 40s) are always, hot and thin.

The character that you worshipped in TV because he is ever so cool (*cough* Grissom *cough* House) and whose some people are delusional enough to think they shared their traits, NEVER watch tv. At the very least, do not watch TV as incessantly as you do.

Same goes to other characters who make constant reference to pop culture or TV reference are never shown watching TV, while that much knowledge of TV shows shown by the characters required a min of 4 hours TV time almost every day.

The baldies or the fatties always get the hotties.

You can be making barely minimum wage but still can afford an apartment to yourself.
Guys are constantly asking random strange women for their numbers. (Maybe it didn't happen only to me?)

People on TVs only have these job: Reporters, doctors, lawyers, mysterious businessman (who constantly traveled but you have no idea the wares they are peddling about), writers/editors, cops or any govt officials (super secret or not), chefs (and anyone in the food industry but never the butchers).

The women woke up with their make up still on. (This constantly happened in Malay TV drama)

The character: a naive, kampung girl who don't have any money and had just misscarry. But yet, when the character was shown termenung di luar bilik dengan kain batik, her hair is immaculately shiny and highlighted in brown streaks.

The kitchen is ever so spotless, even if they are cooking up a storm.

You rarely ever used the power adapter for your laptop. I guess all those wires are so messy and in TV land the battery life of a laptop must be some kind of perpetual energy one.

New Home Guide

Sunday, July 25, 2010 Posted by dueng 7 comments

I was busy last 2 weeks moving around my stuff to our new home. Well, I'm still renting and need to find a permanent place soon. The house was an old house, although the interior wasn't that bad given how old the house. However, there are lots of thing that could put a hole in your pocket should you not carefully plan. Amongst thing that you need to prepare yourself when moving to new house could be listed as follows:

Rental Downpayment
Normally, you need to pay downpayment for rental. Usual case goes by 2+1 rental plus utilities. However, there are some landlord that quite generous by combining the utilities as 2+1 rental only although it's quite rare to find it nowadays. This item alone could really setback your pocket. Consider having quite some amount of money or ready to borrow from friends or family. Consider to have around RM 2,000 - RM 2,500.

Furniture & Electronics
If you're renting before, moving to new house wasn't that difficult given that you have everything in place - except when you're menumpang rumah saudara mara which they provide you with the furniture. If you're married and previously renting as single person, BEWARE cause the cost of buying new furniture will be overwhelm. there are few essential furnitures that you might want to consider before you make your mind on which to buy:
  • Bed & Mattress - cheapest queen size you could get is around RM 400 though I would suggest to get something at better price of RM 500 - RM 600. Mattress could varies from cheapest of RM 80-RM 90 to RM 1,000 - RM 2,000. Better go for moderate price of RM 300 - RM 400. Bargain at any times. And get wooden bed instead of metal. Why? Metal proof to be cheap however not as tough as its look.
  • Kitchen cabinet - You need one for your stove. I'm not talking about state-of-the-art kind of cabinet but rather a modest one. You could get it from furniture store and cheapest you could get around RM 200.
  • Fan - You need one should the house you're renting wasn't ready with it. Cheapest you could get around RM 45 - RM 60 (standing fan - good brand not cap ayam).
  • Stove - A basic needs. A normal two unit stove price around RM 60 - RM 150. New tong gas could cost around RM 70 (14 kg).
  • Washing Machine - Also another basic needs. Cheapest automatic washing machine you could get at RM 500 (good brand not cap ayam).
  • TV - Well, if you already have computers/lappy, it wouldn't be as much necessities. Cheapest you could get for 15" around RM 200 (good brand not cap ayam).
  • Other electronics & furnitures like fridge, dvd player, Astro, sofa, rice cooker, vacuum cleaner and wardrobe could wait.
House Maintenance
You could get a well maintained house but if you're unlucky, you might get a shithole of hell and some maintenance needed. Some landlord generously covers for all renovation and maintenance expenses though there are some areas that might not included. Spare at least RM 500 for painting job, piping and wiring job should needed.

Transferable Items
Your Astro dish, TMNet accounts, phone line etc needed to use some money for the transfer. If everything could be transferable, the cost relatively affordable but if you need to reapply new, it would be deadly. Cheapest: RM 300, Most Expensive: RM 700.

Misc
The biggest items yet cause everything that couldn't be classified as anything as above will be dump here. Few of items that deem necessary which falls under misc are as follows:
  • Cleaning tools - mop, broom, pails, detergent, Dettol, Clorox, fabric softener, machete, cangkul, cleaning cloth and sabit. Spare RM 150 on this. Get this from economy arcade or hardware store.
  • Toiletries stuff - shampoo, shower gel, soap, tooth paste, mirror for bathroom and shaver. Spare RM 150 on this.
  • Kitchen stuff - plate, spoon, fork, knife set, rice storage, periuk, kuali, sudip, dish detergent, dish rack, mug, cups, teapot, jug, cutting board, dustbin, black rubbish bag, sugar, salt, turmeric powder and all sort of spices. Spare at least RM 500 for this since the list given here is not exhaustive enough. You could obtain these items from economy arcade or hardware store.
  • Flooring stuff - tikar getah and carpet. Tikar getah is essential while carpet is a wants. Cheapest up to RM 2/meter, most expensive up to RM 10/meter - tikar getah price.
  • Freight - Cheapest is by your own/friends/family transport. You could charter a lorry for around RM 60 - RM 200 depending on size, rental fees and your negotiation skills.
In overall, you need to carefully plan to avoid any unnecessary stress - financially. Anyhow, whatever listed here as mere guidelines and not exhaustive enough. Pricing depending on places and size of the items. Have fun moving around! :)

UFO Spotted in Kota Kinabalu?

Wednesday, July 21, 2010 Posted by Anonymous 2 comments

So last night my girlfriend asked me about the UFO news in the paper. Which, due to my ignorance of reading our local paper (which always being spiced up with all the artists getting married thingy -- I don't care a bit for it) -- I gotta admit I didn't aware about this at that time.

Straight to Google and found the news being posted in MalaysiaToday (link). Looking at the picture it makes me skeptical. Is that true?

The picture looks like a reflection of something like a "plate" shape and the picture looks too "clear" like being Photoshopped. And the news said it was seen at a beach resort so maybe that's something reflected from the ocean?

And the normal giddy-giddy comes along with the news -

Some immediately took out their mobile phones to snap a picture and capture the rare moment. However, their phones went dead while they were getting ready to capture the moment.

Kinda meh for me since the picture taken is so crystal clear -- is the picture taken by a DSLR camera? Wow, the UFO affects the mobile phones but not DSLR?
If it was taken by a mobile phones -- wah, tak mati pulak phone tu?

So, is it really UFO? Or is it some American aircraft doing some dry-run? I think for this time, I tend to believe that its a hoax.

What do you think? Conspiracy theorist -- pour out your comment!

It is my turn now isn't it?

General rant ahead

I am still hang up over Inception and reading the interpretation obsessively on the web? No, I am not going to reveal nor discuss it here since I think you (those who have yet to see it) would enjoy it more if you know it less.

Staying on top of the entertainment news. I love to read the entertainment blog. Mainly I keep tab with TV news such as Ausiello site, Kristin site (though she's not so active nowadays ) and various others. Other times, I read other entertainment blog. But never that Perez Hilton guy. I saw him in the Janice Dickinson show one boring day, and if even Janice thinks you are repulsive(ok, maybe not to that extent, but I do), then you  must be. I think his site is vile and his commentary is merciless. In turn I usually went and read something Trent (Pink is the New Blog). He is generally much more nice in his commentary regarding these things even if he does get too obsessive with Britney (I updated this last sentence in. Boleh pulak tertinggal and leave sentence hanging).

Which brings me to this. As much as I love drama gossips, I hate it when it involved a marriage. While I think Malaysian artists is just as bad in the scandals as the Hollywood one, at least the artists or usually the MISTRESSES does not plaster themselves on the paper to get fame or money. Maybe sebab compare to the entertainment business here, our entertainment reporters thinks they are the shizzz and artists should be paying them for interview instead, while over there exclusive interviews is something highly sought and they will pay millions to get one measly gambar wedding.

Let me rant for a while: Oi journalist entertainment Malaysia yang duk nak kecik hati tak tentu pasal kenapa artist tu tak jemput kau bile wedding die. Ikut suke dia la kan. Dah itu kan wedding dia, bukan press conference. Which is why Pancaindera is my weekly paper of lulz , not for the writer tales of the artist, but because of the 'journalist' so called entitlement issues bile die tak dapat exclusive interview/pics/news. Idiotic. The lots of them.

Anyway, rant of the general idiotic masses of Malaysian entertainment journalist finished. I am starting with the tabloids and general public of the Hollywood when a marriage scandal erupted. It made great news, yes. Some entertaining read.

On the other hand, it is just something I read and discarded afterward. Why demanded the artists who had cheated on their spouses to make public apology to the general public? Ape kena mengena dengan kau? There is no need for apologies or regret being issued in the media. Those thing should be settled only in the family and closest friends circle. All we should care about is their work. If their personal lives is tainting their work, then maybe we can taunt them a bit in a review and stop looking at their work. Like the Mel Gibson case. I don't believe just because he is a racist ass, I should not be watching his movies anymore. Apocalypto suffered in part of his Jewish drunken rant, and it should not be so. It was a pretty good movie. Not as epic as I like it to be, but still it is entertaining.

I guess the world is not perfect. More so the entertainment world.

Dils noticed that Malaysian artist punyer wedding punyer gah masuk Nona, majalah wanita sana sini, front page of the entertainment news, bile divorce one measly paragraph in the newspaper and  few months, later 2 page interview in Pancaindera with predictable title like "Saya tabah menghadapi kehidupan sebagai janda" , " Saya menerima status saya sebagai ibu muda tunggal. Kehidupan saya sekarang adalah untuk anak saya".

#014 - Popularity

Thursday, July 15, 2010 Posted by Unta@Jitra 3 comments
Oh yeah... miss lagi... I guess I'll recieve the smallest piece of a pie laa kot nanti hehe

So today's lecture. High School Popularity.

Rozie and me always had this interesting pillow talk that would take hours of intense story telling and laughter. Since she was like from the ever famous Kolej Tunku Kurshiah and I was like from an unknown SBP from Perlis (ever heard of Kangar? Yeah it was situated in Perlis, you know, north of Kedah, yeah Padang Besar, pandaiii), we always have this popularity contest story.

From a 1-10 scale, 1 being teh INVISIBLE and 10 being the most POPULAR student in high school, I rated myself at 5, while my Rozie rated herself at almost 3.

See, we were not a famous student at school... at all.

I was a basketballer in high school. Most school will regard this sport as the top tier of awesomeness and popular, but sadly, we were in shadows. Mainly because we were not that great and it used to be ridiculed for being a 'sutun' type of game, thanx to the older senior players that you know, a bit lembut. So no marks there in the popular scale. Our batch revamped the whole team with more muscular like tanks players but only for a year, basketball was moving from low to top tier.

We didn't manage to fully enjoy the popularity.

I was not in a the Blue brazer Prefect gang. Popular, yes but hated so much. I was not in the newly formed Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar or Student Council. Most celebrated and popular because they like to champion our needs, like, "abolish the tasteless biskut 4segi!! We demand cekodok" that kinda thing. Badan beruniform? I was in Kadet Bomba, the lamest, the most inactive unformed bodies (amiright?) in the school. The most popular was Kadet Tentera, with their active schedule every week, green uniform and all, M16 training.

Debate? Bahas? The top contenders for popularity in Academic Clubs was English Club and Persatuan Bahasa Melayu. Debate and Bahas was always in schedule throughout a year. I was not in both of them. I rather took my highly engineered brain to Persatuan Kemahiran Hidup, which was, another inactive club lol!

So there you have it. Whoever scores all four was the ultimate popular guy/girl. Being popular had its ups and downs as well. Girls like you, but you have the eyes from the teachers as well so a no-no with the all the nakal2 things we, the unpopulars, always did. Things like Lompat Pagar, smoking etc :D

And yeah, the populars would always have their thick folder of certs, a damn good resume, and mostly always had landed in a good college. While we the unpopulars, will always try to beat them in real world. Nah kidding, the term popular would surely fade away once we were mature enough, leaving a clean slate in the next 10-15 years when we meet back for reunion etc.

True? :D

Do Cars Have Feelings?

Wednesday, July 14, 2010 Posted by Soraya Zainal 4 comments
If Dils is mourning for the lost of her series in the kaput hard disk, I am now sulking because my car was mad at me... I think -_-"

I am now flat broke even though I just received salary adjustment earlier this month.

It started two weeks ago after I discussed with my father about a probability that I need to buy a new car. As my youngest brother will started his college life next year, this car will be handed down to him. Since then, my beloved car started to "have issues" with me, financially none the less.

Hey, it will just be handed down... not sold! Isk...

The first signal was when my new jacket and shawl that I normally left at my car seat vanished into thin air. I tried to track my steps back into the Perodua service centre but nobody in the centre seemed to admit that they removed anything from my car seats during vacuuming. But, well... nobody will, right?

Then, my car broke down at the side road earlier last week. That alone cost me a few hundred and a day to get it fixed. Yes, this happen just a few days after I spend hundreds of ringgit at the service centre.

But, the best part is yet to come.

Yesterday my car was being towed away by DBKL for illegal parking.

Hey, most of my colleagues parked their cars there during the meeting. Everyone was illegally parked, but not everyone received a compound tickets.. but.. why oh why you choose only my car to be towed away? I was almost in tears when I saw my car was not in its parking position yesterday afternoon and a short call to DBKL confirmed my worst nightmare.

Well, they managed to make me flat broke yesterday no matter how much drama I tried to make at the towing office. I even brought along my friend who was 7 months pregnant as my savior to raise sympathy from the officer. (She willingly followed me and even managed to add some spice to the drama).

Call me desperate... *sigh*

This alone has set me broke by  4 digits this month.

P/s: Now, I am scared to even think about the car that I wanted to buy. Can cars be a psychic too?

World Cup 2010: Wrap Up

Monday, July 12, 2010 Posted by Anonymous 3 comments
I wish I can type this in my own blog but my hosting keep going down. Schmuck!! (Mental note: Need to change hosting next month. This month pokai already)

So, the World Cup has officially ended with Spain emerged as the winner even though the final match was a bit blergh. Seriously, I was begging for the game to end without caring who win when it was additional extra time. C'mon, a football game without any goal is so BORINGG!

For this post, I am just gonna put some interesting facts (from my personal p.o.v) and pictures about what happened for this World Cup. After all, this is a wrap-up post, aight?

a) The Result:
  1. Spain
  2. Netherlands
  3. Germany
  4. Uruguay
b) The Team with Most Goal Scored in One Match:

Portugal: 7 goals scored against Korea DPR.

(Nice goal! Here's some nipple press for you!)

c) The Most Play-Safe-Its-So-Boring Game When It Could've Been Entertaining:

Portugal versus Brazil: 0 - 0. Just because both team has already qualified, they didn't produced any goals? *sigh*

(Arghhh!! Don't spread your legs! DO NOT WANTT!! - Simao)

d) The Most Cards Given Out in a Game:

Final Match: Spain versus Netherlands. 11 yellow cards - 6 for Netherlands and 5 for Spain; 1 red cards for Netherlands.

(Bronckhorst: I didn't touch his ass!)

e) Legendary Holocaust (and The Most Interesting Game):

Germany versus Argentina: Germany won 4 - 0.

(Thiss... iss... Germannn!!!)

f) The Most Intense Fights Game:

Germany versus Uruguay. Germany won 3 - 2; but praises should be given to those Uruguay for their best games. They fight until the ends. No regrets.

This also means that I approve Uruguay as the best underdog team. Coolness! :D

(Thumbs up, Uruguay)

g) The Hands of God:

It's no longer Maradona. It's Paul the Octopus. Okay, tentacle is a better word.

(The All-Seeing Hands Tentacles)

Paul has predicted the results for Germany's and the final matches - and all his predictions are 100% right for this World Cup. FFFFFF!!!

h) The Most Gayish Celebration (even though he deserves it):

Andres Iniesta after scoring for Spain in the final. See those writing on his singlet? That's gay.

(I don't know what that writing means.. must be something gayish!)

And... last but not least...

i) Bend it Like Beckham Lampard.

 (No further explanation needed)

That's all folks! Let's wait for Brazil 2014!

Make Up Entry #5: Nilaian Cinta

Thursday, July 8, 2010 Posted by dueng 2 comments
Cinta.

1) Hatimu berdebar berjumpa dengannya

4) Kamu berasa selesa dengannya

Jika iya, mungkin benar kamu cintakan dia. Ha ha.

Make Up Entry #4: Kisah Kedai Tomyam

Wednesday, July 7, 2010 Posted by dueng 2 comments
I was with wifey when she was in Dungun for her job interview that we encountered a classic case how Malay owned shop just plainly throwing rudeness to our face.

It was dinner time and by God, we was hungry. We stopped by at a seafood/tomyam/masakan panas restaurant which you could find aloooottt in east coast. The restaurant that we choose was a good appearance restaurant, a clean one at that. That does score few point with me. We take a seat and we wait for the waitress. And the tragedy enfold:-

1) The waitress couldn't speak properly. She mumble and fumble along the conversation.

2) No air buah! But in the menu was stated all sort of air buah including air kelapa. When I asking what other air buah not available, she just asked me to order any air buah and she will then tell me if the air buah available or not. And she said it rudely.

3) After placing our order, the waiting time just killing us. We have to wait up to 15 minutes for our drinks.

4) The food finally arrived after 45 minutes. But my sotong goreng tepung wasn't there. The sotong was done for the day. It's a seafood restaurant but not even 9.30 p.m. and your seafood already done? WTF!

5) I try to place order for kerang bakar. But the waitress not even bother to look at our table. I finally called the guy who deliver the food to our table but he was too busy with delivering order and ask me to place my order to the guy at the bakar-bakar station.

6) The restaurant not even half full of customers and almost half of the customers didn't get their drinks even after 30 minutes.

7) The price is not the most expensive in town but it did make me feel cheated for the service.

8) The food quality is so-so. I asked for sup perut but there were only like 6-7 thinly sliced perut.

As what I observed, classic seafood/tomyam/masakan panas restaurant owned by Malay could have any of below things to happen:

1) Dirty floor

2) Kucing kurap is around

3) Tight face waiter/waitress

4) "Ada duit kecik tak?"

5) No greetings or smile thrown

6) Painfully slowly prepared food

7) Waiter/waitress that busy with handphone/chit chat/watching TV

8) Waiter/waitress that give you nasty look when you enter the restaurant

Please...add more in comment section.

I hugely disappointed by the same group of people who give you nasty racist remarks when we preferred Chinese or Indian restaurant when the same group of people couldn't deliver good service. These people moaning that Malays should help Malays but it wasn't right to help Malays if they didn't even want to help themselves.

Otherwise, I will keep looking for good eatery..I don't care about who owned it or operated it. I just want to enjoy my food. When will these people start picking up instead of moaning around?

A few mangas. Some strong feeling.

Tuesday, July 6, 2010 Posted by Dils 4 comments
This past week I had been obsessed over reading Manga. I'd never been an avid manga reader, I think previously, I only had read 3 manga, Gokusen, Hana Yori Dango and Basilisk. Oh probably some others I forgotten, but read it briefly.

Gokusen manga is - awesome and funny!!! Way more satisfying than the drama. Of course, right. The drama is too chock full of moral values. I found myself reading the manga 3 times, and never getting bored.

HYD is tiring to read. - The first few chapters is nice but then Tsukushi started to get annoying with all her wavering. I finished it and try to finish the manga the second round, but got too sick of all the drama.

Basilisk - Is kinda brutal. Not a satisfying ending but the character they created was interesting. I could say the movie was way more awesome.

Slam Dunk - Because once upon a time in boarding school, everybody was reading it and we're all anticipating whenever anybody bought the new manga. The days when manga are bought and internet connection are scarce.

So looking at my preference so far, I seem to like the shoujo and josei type of manga. So I'd finished reading the above and was itching for more. I blindly looked around and was recommended Moe Kare. A shoujo manga.

It is about:
Wakamiya Hikaru is a 15-year-old teenager who wants a boyfriend that'll protect her. She likes to read shoujo manga all the time. One day, she gets kissed by a handsome, perverted boy who she called the "Perverted Prince." Later on, she finds a guy who looks exactly like him, but the eyes are different. What's going on?

The plot is decent enough and the story does not meander around needlessly, say like HYD. But what pisses me off is how the character keep bursting into tears.

The guy she likes touched her. ->She is overflowing with tears. *while I read, I rolled my eyes*

She told the guy she like him.-> She is overflowing with tears. *while I read, I gritted my teeth*

The guy confesses to him -> She started tearing up. *while I make unnecessary noises"

She lost the phone the guy gave to her. -> She burst to tears and go to unnecessary length to find it. * I felt like kicking the heroine*

She wanted to explain some unnecessary drama, -> The waterworks start again.. * I swore I kicked the table next to me imagining it is Hikaru*

So weepy a heroine, made Dils feel kicky.I try to make it rhyme. To be fair, she did man up considerably after getting dumped. So yeah. But I still do not like her.

Also there is a scene where the hero undressed her and try to rape her while she is unconcious. Well, of course he decided to not go ahead with it, but it just feels so icky and make me feel murderous.Furthermore the heroine have no idea about it even to the end of the story. Really?

This is also the reason why I can never really like Doumyoji Tsukasa in the manga where he told a group of boys to rape her and try to do it himself. Urgh. While Tsukushi manage to give him a wallop for that, but Tsukasa never really apologized or expressed regrets on those actions. Which is why I never rooted for him and found it a tad bit blah that she didn't go for Rui.

And also one of the reason that I am uncomfortable reading some of these manga where the hero try to force himself onto the girl and the girl assented. Grrrr. At least in Shuukatsu Kimi ni Naitei ( a cute manga that I am reading at the moment and heartily approve of, character-wise, plot-wise, story-wise) the girl slapped the guy and he apologized and come to his senses. Finally! A mangaka who realized how despicable those Rape is Love acts. The heroine is a bit weepy though, but less irritating than Hikaru.

I guess after a few manga reading, the one that I liked most reading is a manga called Spicy Pink. The heroine don't go around aimlessly tearing up if a guy like her or not. If something bothering her, she quickly asked what is the matter. Discussing things in a clear, rational manner! Gasp! Even heroines in TVs rarely does that! So I love that manga, the only complaint is that it is too short.

Dils will continue reviewing manga if she find it too irritating like weepy Hikaru from Moe Kare or if she like it enough.

Lighting fixtures in our rented apartment. Beautiful, isn't it?

Our apartment corridor. Don't ask me why there was a dressing table there :P

Road to Camarillo, the shopping heaven. Top right, I was driving on their freeway on the right lane. Terkial-kial nak drive sebelah kiri~

Cantik kan view? But, their freeway was not properly maintained compared to our highway. Maybe because it is free?

The place that broke my credit card. Thanks Ella for the suggestion :)

Okay, I only manage to eat the beef patties and the cheese *sigh*

We bought the all day Metro pass and here we were, The Union Station.

It function like KL Sentral, but when we step in, we were transported back a hundred years because of the arrangement and architectures. Cantek!

#013 - Bola²

Thursday, July 1, 2010 Posted by Unta@Jitra 1 comments
Sempena demam World Cup 2010, meh nak story sket perihal bola selaku peminat bolasepak yang tak seberapa hardcore.

Aku start didedahkan dgn bola sepak waktu sekolah rendah lagi. Bukan sebab aku terer, tapi sebab aku ni kaki bangku. Maka jeles teramatlah kt star2 bola waktu tu. FYI Akmal Rizal is my schoolmate, mmg budak ni terer main dari dulu lagi.

Jadi bila dah tak reti sepak, maka terpaksa lah main bola kertas pakai kotak rokok / kotak ubat nyamuk atau kotak2 lain yang bole dilipat. Aku tau liga Italy dlo dari EPL, Lazio, Sampdoria, Fiorentina etc sebab semua team liga bola kertas ni ada pasukan Serie A masing2.

Liga bola kertas / kotak... lipat saja

Masuk sekolah menengah. Masih tak reti2 nak pegi tengok Kedah FC main di Stadium Darulaman walopon time tu Kedah FC agak berjaya. Time sekolah menengah form 1, 1994, dah ada World Cup.

Form 1, mana tau lagi pasal World Cup... sungguh slowpoke.

Waktu tu aku just join the flow. Rasa teringin nak tengok final antara Brazil (feveret ramai) VS France (bole kata underdog jugaklah). Sapa tak heran bila France tapau Brazil time tu.

Fast forward sebelum masuk U, aku teringin nak tengok kehebatan game CM maka, beli laa satu lanun punya (waktu tu kedai PC game pirate belambak sangat2). Maka terjebaklah aku dengan satu ketagihan yang maha dahsyat, lagi dahsyat dari nikotin (can be taken together while playing the game lol). Aku ehem*menangEVERYTHING*ehem bila pakai Arsenal hahaha.

Ni CM versi agak baru, yang aku men versi berapa tah

Masa masuk U, ada PC baru, sekali lagi terjebak walaupon time tu, CounterStrike pon sama naik. Hasilnya, keputusan CGPA yang xberapa membanggakan.

Masa bermain CM lah pengetahuan aku pasal bola makin meluas. Kenal habis segala star player.

Minat sikit saja. Tak sefanat sampai beli jersey ori atau gantung poster permain terhandal (sedikit ghey bila terkenang penggantung2 poster bola). Minat tengok gameplay, minat tengok jaringan yang hebat2, minat tengok keeper terbang save bola yang hebat2, minat tengok player bergaduh.

Kalau letak rating 0 (HARAM TAK MINAT LANGSUNG) kepada 10 (SUPERFANAT KO KUTUK TEAM AKU AKU BUNUH KAOOO), aku maybe dekat 5. Team feveret kalah? Tarahal... tahun depan try lagi. Tak pernah pulak aku emo pasal bola.

So sekarang, 2010, tahun World Cup. Aku dah kahwin, dah ada bini. Dah ada TV, dah ada rumah sendiri. Tahun ni aku terasa nak try tengok apa rasa peminat2 bola sepak bila tengok live matches.

The greatest game on earth? You bet!

P/S: Aku sokong Netherlands. GO ORANJE!

Make Up Entry #3: YUI Latest Single

Posted by dueng 4 comments
Yes, the great YUI is back with her new single. Single titled "to Mother". Contains 4 songs; to Mother, Tonight, Gloria~YUI Acoustic Version~, to Mother ~Instrumental~.

to Mother is a mellow song, furnished with piano sound and sprinkled with some drum sound. The dish is soothing however doesn't appear as much as likable to my palate. I dig Tonight better because it rocks harder. Tonight is a perfect anime opening song; I could imagine it as an action anime opening song....like Again.

Gloria~YUI Acoustic Version~ wasn't great as original song, unlike It's All Too Much~YUI Acoustic Version. It's still retain the original feeling, not quite as I expect from normal YUI Acoustic Version which breathe total new life into the song. Whether I was so indulge in the original or I just become older that my sound appetite wasn't as hungry as before, I hope it just me getting older.

I wasn't a big fan of YUI slow, sappy song....and as how much I despise Namidairo, I couldn't like to Mother as much. YUI best single to date still "It's All Too Much/Never Say Die" followed by "Summer Song".

Enough with talk, the cover of to Mother single. Enjoice!

p/s: YUI is cute with short hair!
