Limau Limau

Remember this picture I uploaded last week?

I was supposed to upload all the pictures yesterday, but the Internet was not on my side.. so here it is, my supposed-to-be-posted-on-Thursday post. Heheh...

2 weeks ago, I decided to visit a good friend of mine in Malacca and spend a night there. Since it was a long holiday, all decent hotels had been fully booked. Luckily, we got a room at a small hotel near Jonker Street.

So, bolehlah saya berangan jadi tourist kejap :P

As the breakfast provided at the hotel was not inviting, we decided to venture into a few of the small roads near our hotel... and taraaaa... we found this interesting, Parisian style place!

Limau Limau Cafe at Jalan Hang Lekiu... google it!

This quaint little cafe was decorated with colourful chandelier at the front bar and once we stepped into it.. we were overwhelmed with the array of little antiques, painting and artsy trinkets everywhere. Their mismatch and eclectic arrangement of decoration was very eye catching. Dils, since you love mismatch items.. you will surely love this cafe :D

The food choice was quite good with fruit drinks and a few type of bread for their sandwiches. Everything was home made! *yums*

Mushroom soup with croutons. No, that is not a coffee, that was the soup :P

Our healthy sandwich. I can't exactly remember the price, but the price was pretty reasonable.

We did not had much chances to try all their dishes because it was early in the morning and our stomach were not open for any adventures yet. Next time, I am sure to try all their famous fruit juices, lassi and also pasta.

Enough about the food, let's see this cafe decor...

The second floor of the cafe was said to overlook a mosque, but we dare not to sit at the pretty chair outside because the view was of graveyards at the mosque compound -_-"

The area leading towards the steep stairs to the first floor.

This cafe also have its own souvenir shops selling aromatherapy candles, candle holder and incense.
Do you see the stairs? Scarryyy...
Quirky signboard on the wall

Cafe walls decorated with paintings of naked ladies and mask (and hundreds of other eccentric items)

The background music played in the cafe remind me of Yellow Cab pizza outlet. Oldies, jazz, nothing modern and it swayed us back to the past.

This is a good place with good service that definitely deserve a second  visit. Those who are visiting Jonker Street, be sure to check this place out :)
